As shared at our Association Dinner on April 15 and again at the informational meeting on April 28, the Vina del Mar Island Association will be holding an election to establish a new Board of Directors. The Board is composed of five Officers and several At-Large Directors. The open positions and a brief description of each are listed below: • President — Leads the Association and serves as the primary community liaison • Vice President — Supports and serves as backup to the President • Treasurer — Manages Association finances and files the annual 990 tax return • Corresponding Secretary — Handles Association email, the Vina message board, surveys, and communications • Recording Secretary — Records minutes of Board and Association meetings and maintains membership records • At-Large Directors — Voting members of the Board who may also chair committees All positions are elected by the membership (one vote per household). Nomination Process & Timeline We are currently accepting applications through Friday, May 15. The existing Board will review all submissions and prepare the ballot at its meeting on May 20. A membership meeting will then be scheduled for the election of the new Board.
